The Illinois College men's soccer team achieved a 6-0 victory over the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) on Sunday at England Stadium in Jacksonville, Illinois. This win brings the Blueboys' record to 4-1-1 for the season, while UHSP's record falls to 1-6-0.

Illinois College took an early lead less than a minute into the match when Oscar Liogon Arenas scored. The team maintained control throughout, with Joey Hernandez adding a second goal at the 35:11 mark, giving IC a 2-0 advantage at halftime.

In the second half, Liogon Arenas scored again about five minutes after play resumed. The Blueboys then added three more goals late in the game from Aidan Gowin, Tyler Lunning—assisted by Carter Uhlmann—and another from Hernandez with help from Nate Kapitz.

The Blueboys outshot UHSP by a wide margin, recording 30 shots compared to just one for their opponent. Liogon Arenas, Lunning, and Hernandez each tallied four shots during the match.

Goalkeeper TJ Esseily played over 73 minutes without facing a shot before Andrew Mosham entered for the final stretch and made IC’s only save of the day.

Looking ahead, Illinois College will travel to face Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday in Bloomington. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
