Illinois College wide receiver Kyle Leonard has been named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league.

Leonard, a junior from Carrollton, Illinois, recorded nine receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns during Illinois College's recent game against Lake Forest. One of his touchdowns was the game-winner in overtime, coming on a 19-yard catch that secured a 28-25 victory for the Blueboys. This win marks the first time since 2013 that Illinois College has started its season with a 2-0 record. Leonard also completed his only pass attempt in the game for 15 yards.

This recognition marks the second week in a row that an Illinois College player has received the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor. Last week, quarterback Tyson Elliott earned the award.

Illinois College is scheduled to play at the University of Chicago on Saturday with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.
