Local residents in McHenry, Boone, and Winnebago counties are invited to participate in the annual 69th District Photo Challenge. The event is organized each autumn by State Representative Joe Sosnowski (R-Rockford). Participants can submit up to two photographs taken within any of the three counties. The deadline for submissions is November 14, 2025.
Three winners will be selected to have their photos displayed at Representative Sosnowski’s office at the State Capitol in Springfield during 2026. Each winner will also receive a $50 Visa gift card. Entries can be submitted online.
“Our photo challenge is a way to celebrate life and nature in our region of the state and recognize the talents of local residents who have a passion for photography,” Representative Sosnowski said. “Each year a growing number of participants submit unique and memorable snapshots of what makes living and exploring here so exceptional. Grab a cup of your favorite pumpkin-spiced beverage and start taking photos that capture the look and feel of Fall in northern Illinois.”
Questions about the contest can be directed to the district office at 815-547-3436. Representative Sosnowski has served as the Republican representative for Illinois’ 69th House District since his election in 2011, succeeding Ronald A. Wait.
More information about entry requirements and submission guidelines is available through Representative Sosnowski’s office.
