Rep. Charlie Meier’s annual Senior Fair drew hundreds of attendees to the Highland VFW, where seniors had the opportunity to connect with a variety of vendors offering services tailored for older adults in Illinois. The event featured representatives from living facilities, state and local agencies, as well as other service providers.
Meier organizes this fair each year to help keep seniors informed about available resources. “Every year, seniors tell me that they learned something new, some new service available, or just enjoyed seeing their friends at my Senior Fair,” said Rep. Charlie Meier. “Our vendors do a great job showing off what they can offer, and even if seniors don’t need any of the services right now, it’s always a good idea to stay informed.”
Meier was elected as a Republican to the Illinois State House in 2023 and represents the 109th House District, succeeding David Reis.
Plans are already underway for next year’s senior fair in 2026.
