The Village Board of Trustees of Chatham, Illinois will be holding a special session prior to its regular meeting Tuesday, March 8 in order to finalize the selection of a village engineer.
Crawford, Murphy & Tilly has been proposed as the village’s official engineering firm. The resolution states that the firm was determined to be the most qualified firm to meet the needs of the village in terms of engineering services out of those that were in consideration. Should it be approved by the board the ordinance will take effect immediately.
Primary tasks that would be taken on by the firm would include surveying land and professional engineering services to be established within an engineering services work order through 2016. Representatives from the company would also be expected to attend meetings of the board and other committees and maintaining correspondence with the village manager.
Through this agreement the firm will also be tasked with the development of cost estimates for each item that will be included in the engineering services work order. The contract amount is set to be determined based on the estimates given by the firm.
The enclosed contract has been signed by the Vice President of Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., Steven Schroll.
