The Sangamon, Illinois Jail Committee will be meeting tomorrow to discuss approval of services from MJ Kellner.
The company specializes in the distribution of food, equipment and supplies for kitchen needs. These include dry goods, dairy, produce, meats in fresh and frozen varieties, grills, ovens, refrigerators and other associated equipment.
The committee will also review reports from the Sheriff’s Office, the Coroner’s Office and the Office of the Jail Superintendent.
There will also be discussions relating to pre-travel requests during this meeting. This meeting will also facilitate the review and voting for approval of meeting minutes from the committee’s previous meeting that took place on March 1.
The Sangamon County Jail Committee is tasked with the approval of all purchases and contracts associated with the county jail system. This includes fixtures, equipment, furniture and other supplies. The committee also ensures that jail facilities are kept within health code regulations and that jails offer sanitary conditions. The committee is also tasked with making sure repairs are completed as needed.
This meeting is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at the County Board Office. The committee typically meets twice a month. The next meeting is scheduled to take place on April 5 at the same time.
