The Village Board of Trustees of Sherman, Illinois will be meeting tonight at 6 in order to discuss a zoning request from the Sherman Development Group LLC and other matters.
This action would facilitate that the property at 300 South First St. to be considered a R-2 district rather than its current B-2 classification. Alongside this request the company has also petitioned for select variances to be taken into consideration in relation to the yard requirements associated with the requested designation.
The board will also consider other items that include the dedication of funds in order to support a program that aims to improve highway signs and authorize the mayor to sign an agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation that would facilitate participation within a federal program relating to sign improvement. The board will also consider an ordinance to increase the amount of liquor licenses within the village.
During this meeting minutes from the regular meeting of the board that took place on Feb. 16 will be reviewed. This meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Sherman Village Hall.
