The Village Board of Chatham, Illinois considered an amendment to ordinances relating to liquor licenses during a Committee of the Whole meeting last week.

The amendment as requested would allow a business that is applying for a certain class of license to be authorized to host video games on the premises. A copy of the amendment indicates that this would added to the Tavern (Class T) License.

This amendment would also add Restaurant Gaming licenses in two classes (R-1G and R-2G).

These amendments are proposed in line with requests that have made by a local business and an individual looking to open a business. Both of these requests would require that the amendments on liquor and gaming licenses to be passed in order to be considered.

The amendments would need to be presented as ordinances, alongside the applications, and would need to be considered at the next full board meeting that is scheduled to take place on March 22.
