The Sangamon, Illinois County Community Resources Committee will be meeting tomorrow to discuss a grant application as well as other items.
The grant application will be made in collaboration with United Way (UW), the Central Counties Health Centers (CCHC) and Southern Illinois University in relation to the Brandon Court Health Initiative.
The committee will also be discussing a travel request in order to allow a housing counselor to attend a workshop taking place in Peoria.
This meeting will also consist of the review of the committee’s previous meeting minutes and the committee will vote to approve them.
Anne Schneider will be presenting a report from the Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance (LLWA). A section of this meeting will also be focused on the LLWA and will include the determination of whether to extend youth contracts through December of this year and the approval of a monitoring report from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).
This meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the County Board Office in Room 201.
The committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month and oversees the Community Resource Department and administering the Community Service Block Grant Program alongside other grants.
