The Sangamon County Board was expected to approve a federal aid pact with the Illinois Department of Transportation on construction of the Sangamon Valley Trail at its meeting this week.
The board also was expected to approve a resolution designating Woodside Road (County Highway 23) a Class III truck route.
The board also was expected to approve an intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the City of Springfield and the county to construct the 10th Street rail corridor and to make upgrades to the Third Street rail corridor.
