Chatham Library Board holds special meeting on GO bonds

At a special meeting recently, the Chatham Area Public Library District Board heard presentations on general-obligation (GO) bonds.

"The Chatham Area Public Library District provides services, materials, programs and access to technology to help users with learning, literacy and recreational needs. The Library also strives to nurture children’s interest and appreciation for reading and serves as a community meeting place for residents of all ages.

Below are the minutes from this meeting, as provided by the board.

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Tuesday May 10th 7:00 PM

I. Board Meeting Called to Order

Present: C. Moore, M. Roubitchek, S. Fairfield, C. Westerlund, L. Rios. Director Byers also in

attendance.

Absent: J. Burgdorf and D. Schumer

II. Recognition of Visitors / Public Comments

No visitors/members of the public present

III. Unfinished Business

A. None

IV. New Business

A. Presentation on 2007 GO Bond from Tom Gavin, Baird & Co. (7:00)

B. Presentation on the 2007 GO Bond from Robert Vail, Bernardi Securities (7:30)

C. First Midstate Documents / Review

D. Other

Discussion was had regarding the two presentations given tonight by Baird & Co. and Bernardi

Securities. Additionally, discussion also included the presentation given by Midstate Documents

at our April board meeting. The board still had a few questions, which Director Byers is looking

into with the intent of making a decision on the 2007 Bond at our regularly scheduled May Board

Meeting.

A. Next Board Meeting: May 16th, 2016 at 7pm

Motion to adjourn made by S. Fairfield and seconded by C. Moore. The motion carried

unanimously.
