At a recent special closed meeting, the Sherman Public Library Board of Trustees discussed the salary and benefits package for the library's new director.
The Sherman Public Library District's mission is to provide educational, informational, cultural and recreational resources to the community. The library provides access to this wealth of information for the community that it serves.

A special meeting of the Sherman Public Library Board was called to order by Julie Horton at 5:00 p.m.
Present were Board members Julie Horton, Bob Shurig, Gale Kilbury, Mary Contri, Melissa Allen, Dave
Grimm, and Elizabeth Heubner
Items for Consideration Not on the Agenda: There were no items for consideration not on the agenda.
Personnel: Julie Horton made a motion under Illinois Open Meetings Act Statute 2(c)(1) to suspend the
Open Meeting and to enter Closed Session to discuss salary and benefits package for the new Director
for the Sherman Public Library. Melissa Allen seconded the motion. An individual voice vote was taken
and all were in favor.
Closed Session began at 5:10 p.m.
A motion was made by Julie Horton to adjourn the Closed Session at 7:27 p.m. Melissa Allen seconded
the motion and the motion carried unanimously.
Julie Horton made a motion at 7:28 p.m. to adjourn the Open Session of our meeting. Gale Kilbury
seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned.
