Sangamon County Finance Committee to act on several hires, including assistant public defender

New Business

Circuit Clerk, Paul Palazzolo

• Approve to hire a replacement Ordinance Violation Clerk at an annual salary of $26,691.22 effective February 13, 2017; the previous employee will leave the payroll system on January 13, 2017

• Approve to hire a replacement Traffic Court Clerk-Part Time at an hourly salary of $11.14 effective January 30, 2017; the previous employee left the payroll system on December 30, 2016

Auditor, Andy Goleman

• Capital Assets/Capitalization Policy

Public Defender, Robert Scherschligt

• Approve to hire a replacement Assistant Public Defender (Part-Time) at an annual salary of $32,895 effective January 16, 2017; the previous employee left the payroll system on December 16, 2016

Community Resources, Sharmin Doering

• Weatherization (DOE) Grant with anticipated grant revenue of $172,528

• Weatherization (State) Grant with anticipated grant revenue of $104,310

• LIHEAP (State) Grant with anticipated grant revenue of $903,003

Court Services, Mike Torchia

• Approve to hire a replacement Treatment Specialist at an annual salary of $41,190 effective January 30, 2017; the previous employee left the payroll system on December 30, 2016

• Approve to hire a replacement Treatment Specialist at an annual salary of $41,190 effective February 27, 2017; the current employee will be leaving the payroll on January 27, 2016

• Approve application for a three (3) year grant through the U.S. Department of Justice-Bureau of Justice Assistance in the amount of $400,000; matching funds are required

Child Advocacy Center, Shirley Johnson

• Approve Pre-Travel Request for Pat Jacobs to attend the National CASA Conference held in Seattle Washington on March 10-14, 2017
