Village of Williamsville Village Board met May 22.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

The Town Hall/board meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Tom Yokley.  Present:  Clerk: Karen Winger.    Trustees: Patrick Gettleman, John Brennan, Heather Hofferkamp, Skylar Tierney, Dave Carter, Matt Bunger.


Guests: See attached.

Trustee Cartermoved to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting of May 8, 2017, seconded by Trustee Bunger. All ayes, motion carried.

Communications:  President Yokley shared a thank you note and a picture from the Healthy Kids Running Series. 

President Yokley stated the board meeting scheduled for June12th was one of the ones that were canceled.  The next board meeting will be held on June 26th.

Guests Comments/Concerns:  No guest comments.

Committee Reports:

Finance (Skylar Tierney):Trustee Tierney made a motion to pay bills as presented.  Trustee Hofferkampseconded the motion.  All ayes, motion carried.

Public Safety (John Brennan):Trustee Brennan stated the applications for the police officer position have been received and being validated.  There are 10 applicants.  After the applications are validated, the selection committee will interview the applicants. 

Water & Sewer, (Matt Bunger):  Trustee Bunger stated a meeting was held with Round Prairie to discuss water service.  Figures were submitted to Round Prairie, now it’s up to them whether they are still interested. 

Economic Development (Hofferkamp):Trustee Hofferkamp shared her Economic Development Committee minutes with the board. 

Trustee Hofferkamp stated she has received some inquiries regarding TIF money from local businesses.  She will look into this and report to board. 

Parks & Recreation (Dave Carter):Trustee Carter thanked Skylar Tierney and the Little League for all of their work on getting the Little League going.  

Trustee Carter stated they have met with JFL in regards to the new concession stand and have presented some ideas for it.

Trustee Tierney thanked Officer Harmon and the public works employees for their hard work on preparing the fields for the games/season.

Streets, Alleys, Sidewalks & Storm Sewers (Patrick Gettleman):  Trustee Gettleman shared a thank you from a resident on Harpole Street to Kent Thompson and the Public Works crew for the gravel they received. 

President Yokley stated he has received a call from the Village Attorney in regards to the legal situation that the village has been dealing with in regards to a resident.  He stated the resident is ready to sit down and talk about a solution.  The attorney will pass along the details as soon as possible.

Additional Business:  Trustee Gettleman made a motion to pass Ordinance #2017-05, an ordinance for ratifying and approving the execution of a contract for the sale of real estate known as Tax ID# 07-04.0-401-009 with Zinn Construction, LLC.  Trustee Tierney seconded the motion.  Ayes: Trustee Tierney, Hofferkamp, Gettleman, Carter, Brennan.  No: Trustee Bunger

Trustee Gettleman made a motion to pass Ordinance #2017-06, an ordinance for ratifying and approving the execution of a contract for the sale of the real estate known as Tax ID# 07-04.0-401-023 C/K/A 117 Pine Street, Williamsville, IL with Sugar Crrek Holdings, LLC.  Trustee Carter seconded the motion.  Ayes: Trustee Tierney, Hofferkamp, Gettleman, Brennan, Carter.  No: Trustee Bunger

President Yokley stated Hill Prairie Winery was initially supposed to attend the Fall Festival on Friday and Saturday.  The class reunion committee has decided against allowing them to attend Friday evening.  They will only be attending Saturday.  President Yokley asked the board for approval to waive the fee. 

Trustee Bunger made a motion to only charge Hill Prairie Winery $75 for the Saturday event.  Trustee Hofferkamp seconded the motion.  All ayes, motion carried.

Trustee Carter made a motion to approve the burning ordinance to be extended for two more weeks.  Trustee Bunger seconded the motion.  All ayes, motion carried.

The regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Williamsville adjourned at6:47p.m.
