Sangamon County Election Oversight Committee met October 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Present: Tom Madonia - Vice Chairman, Clyde Bunch, Abe Forsyth, Annette Fulgenzi, Brad Miller & Cathy Scaife.

Not Present: Sam Snell, John O'Neill, Catie Sheehan & Joel Tjelmeland

Others: Don Gray, Stacey kern, and Mary Carter (Secretary)

Vice chairman Mandonia called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm. Bunch made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from the September 19th meeting and Scaife seconded. Motion carried (6-0).

Don reported that this month, his office has partnered with Illinois Natioal Bank, with the Vital Records Mobile Unit. Beginning October 14th through October 21st (excluding Sunday) there will be VRMU events at each INB location. INB is advertising & helping with marketing dollars. His office is also visiting major Senior Living facilities to register seniors to vote. The Voter Registration Mobile Unit will also be visiting rural Sangamon County libraries. They will travel to each rural library after hours to provide voter registration. First one will be Williamsville.

Gray also let the committee know about a new group in the county called the Sangamon ,County Watchers. They would do like to do an audit of the election results but Gray reminded them that we do have a process and he has encouraged them that, that is the time to come and see that process. He has let them know that his office is monitored by the State Board of Elections & the Election Oversight Committee.

The requisitions were reviewed and signed. Bunch motioned to approve the requisitions and Forsyth seconded. Motion carried (6-0).

There was no old business or public comment.

Scaife motioned to adjourned and Fulgenzi seconded. Motion carried (6-0) and the meeting adjourned at 4:38 pm.
