Rep. Martin McLaughlin (R-Barrington) has announced a series of property tax appeals events scheduled for August. The events are intended to assist Cook County residents who wish to file a property tax appeal for 2025.

Residents can access several resources to help with the appeals process. These include guidance on finding comparable properties through the Cook County Assessor’s website at https://www.cookcountyassessor.com/find-comparable-properties, as well as answers to frequently asked questions about online filing, available at https://prodassets.cookcountyassessor.com/s3fs-public/form_documents/OnlineFilingFAQs.pdf.
