Chatham Board of Fire Commissioners met September 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

• Call to Order

❖ Meeting started at 1705 hours

• Roll Call

❖ Present were: Commissioner Hill, Sullivan and Chief Schumer

❖ Absent were: Commissioner Staab Polk

• Approval of Previous Minutes

❖ Open and closed session minutes of August 14, 2017 were presented for approval. Motion to approve by Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hill; motion passed.

❖ Correspondence from Chatham Community Fire Protection District Board of Trustees regarding name from Final Eligibility Roster, Commissioner Hill made a motion to provide the Board of Trustees with the name Dustin Cole from the Final Eligibility Roster and was seconded by Commissioner Sullivan; motion passed.

❖ Discuss bidding process for vendors to do candidate testing and placing test out for bid was discussed

❖ Advertisement options and methods: Facebook, newspaper, websites was discussed

❖ Finalize application timeline, verify dates, availability of commissioners to administer necessary components of candidate testing process was discussed

❖ Motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to adjourn the meeting at 1735 hours and was seconded by Commissioner Hill; motion passed.
