The Dana-Thomas House, a Springfield home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is hosting a series of holiday events, including holiday walks, concerts and an open house, according to a recent release from the Dana-Thomas House Foundation.

The house, at 300 E. Lawrence Ave., is currently decorated with floral arrangements designed by the Springfield Civic Garden Club, which also provided a $750 grant to ensure that the holiday floral arrangements were properly displayed. Other sponsors for the house’s holiday decor include Springfield Electric Supply, the Grady Tree Farm, the Illinois Christmas Tree Association and Jim and Pat Dees, the release said.

The Dana-Thomas House’s holiday schedule has already begun, and will continue on Dec. 13 with half-hour guided tours of the home from 4:30 to 8 p.m.. The Eddy Flute Choir will provide a live soundtrack for the evening.

On Dec. 16, the Beth Anderson Flute Choir will perform at 10 a.m., followed by a performance of the Innigkeit String Quartet, formed by members of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, at 2 p.m.

On Dec. 17, the house will host the Luminaria Open house from 5 to 9 p.m., with music again being provided by the Eddy Flute Choir.

On Dec. 30, the house will host half-hour guided tours from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

The house will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
