Illiopolis & Niantic Public Library District Board met October 23.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
Ervin called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. with the librarian and all trustees present except Reilly and Hinds.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as read. Hildebrandt moved that the reports be approved, Howard seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.
Financial reports were read and discussed. Shanle moved that the reports be approved, Borowczyk seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.
Circulation and materials acquired were discussed.
Monthly bills were discussed. Borowyczyk moved that the bills be approved for payment, Howard seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.
Old Business
Reilly has been ill and unable to work on the budget. The board will need to find a solution to this in case he cannot get it prepared in time.
New Business
Hopkins worked a coloring booth at the Illiopolis Community Halloween party on Saturday, October 21.
The auditors were here last week to work on our audit. We will ask them to present in January 2018.
Received $12,249.50 from Macon County taxes.
We will have a budget meeting Monday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. There will be no November monthly board meeting. Our December meeting will be moved up a week to the 18th.
