Village of New Berlin Board of Trustees met October 18. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

President Mike Krall called the meeting of the New Berlin Village Board to order at 7:02 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2017 at the Village Hall. The Pledge of Allegiance was said and roll call was taken.


Attendees: Mayor Mike Krall, Trustee Andy Surratt, Trustee Stephanie Snyder, Trustee Chelsea Sartore, Trustee Joel Sander, Trustee Sharon LaFauce, Trustee Kris Neuman, Clerk Debbie Lakamp. Supts. Cody Morris, Garrett Kemp, Chief Terry Nydegger, Mike McEvers, Benton & Assoc., Treasurer Shanda Byer and Linda Hughes, Reporter.

Audience: Paul Sweet spoke about Veteran’s Memorial ideas and presented the Village $305 for the Memorial Fund raised from a Trivia Night. Dec. 16 is Wreaths Across America at the Veteran’s Memorial

Police: Written Report submitted. The chief urged community members to lock their cars as

people are stealing from cars in the area.

MOTION: To spend $650 on a new valve to find sewer pond from IMCO.

MOTION: To approve a partial pay estimate in the amount of $10,447.95 to Kinney Contractors Inc. (Birch St Sewer Extension) from TIF.

Zoning: Discussion that follows up from last meeting.

Streets & Parks: Written report submitted. Right of way infraction on N. Cedar will be sent a letter. Allicent Smith from NBCDL will get back to the park benches.

Discussion on possible purchase of Crosier Lot. Benton & Assoc. are obtaining a bid to take down small water tower.

Finance: A tax levy will be presented in December.
