Mount Pulaski Community Unit District #23 Board of Education met November 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

President Doug Martin called the meeting to order on November 1, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sheila Myers room. Roll call was taken. Present were Deanne Mott, Charlie Hickey, Ashley Combs, Eric Cowan, Aaron Wilham, Jeff Beccue, and Doug Martin. Also present were Superintendent Hamm and Principal Terry Morgan.

Motion by Jeff Beccue, second by Aaron Wilham, to enter into Executive Session at 5:01 p.m. Roll call vote. Answering aye: Deanne Mott, Charlie Hickey, Ashley Combs, Eric Cowan, Aaron Wilham, Jeff Beccue, and Doug Martin. No nay. Motion carried.

Motion by Aaron Wilham, second by Eric Cowan, to exit Executive Session at 5:10 P.M. Roll call vote. Answering aye: Deanne Mott, Charlie Hickey, Ashley Combs, Eric Cowan, Aaron Wilham, Jeff Beccue, and Doug Martin. No nay. Motion carried.

As part of the agreement with the Mt. Pulaski Park District there must be a storage shed for all the equipment at Veteran's Park. Superintendent Hamm is looking into a 12x16 shed to keep the equipment for track, baseball, Soccer, and a lawnmower in.

Howell Concrete Lifters will be raising and sloping a 46 section of sidewalk on the north side of the grade school. This is to prepare for the new stairs that will be installed.

The Board discussed the ballot and how the wording should be. They would like the ability to use the monies without being limited as to what they can do.

When the renovations were approved for the work at Frazier Park the quote did not include the materials. The cost of the material is $5,250.00. Ashley Combs would like to wait for feedback before going forward with this project. The Board would like to get other bids on the materials.

Motion by Aaron Wilham, second by Jeff Beccue, to table Frazier Park Softball renovations. Roll call vote. Answering aye: Deanne Mott, Charlie Hickey, Ashley Combs, Eric Cowan, Aaron Wilham, Jeff Beccue, and Doug Martin. No nay. Motion carried.

Motion by Deanne Mott, second by Eric Cowan, to approve football co-op with LSA. Roll call vote. Answering aye: Deanne Mott, Charlie Hickey, Ashley Combs, Eric Cowan, Aaron Wilham, Jeff Beccue, and Doug Martin. No nay. Motion carried.

Motion by Deanne Mott, second by Charlie Hickey, to approve PRESS Policy changes/updates. Roll call vote. Answering aye: Deanne Mott, Charlie Hickey, Ashley Combs, Eric Cowan, Aaron Wilham, Jeff Beccue, and Doug Martin. No nay. Motion carried.

Motion by Aaron Wilham, second by Ashley Combs, to adjourn at 5:41 p.m. Voice vote. All ayes. Motion carried.
