Analysis: Lincoln pays $1.86 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lincoln Rural Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 65.1 percent of the $73,553 the Lincoln Rural Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.86 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lincoln contributed $47,891 to the fund, which saw a $97 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $25,662, or 34.9 percent, in 2016.
