City of Athens recently issued the following announcement.
Due to a fire this afternoon, the Athens Fire Department had to utilize a hydrant on Hargrave Street.
Please note that some customers may notice some temporary cloudiness when they run their water due to hydrant being opened. This event does cause some sediment to be stirred up in the main lines, however, the water is safe, just run the tap for a few minutes and it will clear back up.
