Village of Chatham Board of Trustees met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

A. Call to Order

1. Moment of Silence

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll Call

Present: Trustee Mann, Mau, Scherschel, Gerger, Fountain, and Village President Kimsey. Absent: Trustee Lindhorst

Others present: Clerk Dahlkamp, Village Administrator McCarthy, Police Chief Foli, and Attorney Jurgens.

4. Public Announcements

Scott Curtis- Mr. Curtis came and presented to the board in regards to CBSI (Chatham Baseball & Softball Inc.). CBSI provides baseball & softball opportunities to the Village of Chatham.

CBSI hosts recreational baseball & softball leagues as well as some of the best competitive baseball tournaments in the Capital City Area at Chatham Community Parks and on the turf at Spartan Sports Park. CBSI also continues to make yearly contributions and investments to the fields they are utilizing for their organization.

5. Public Comments Agenda Topics

Darlene Judd- Inquiry about the bidding process for the water department truck being purchased for the village.

B. Consent Agenda

1. Regular Village Board Meeting Minutes from Tuesday, March 27th 2018

2. Warrants Resolution 19-18

Trustee Mau moved, seconded by Trustee Scherschel to put the consent agenda on the table for action. The consent agenda passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Mann yes, Gerger yes, Mau yes, Fountain yes, Scherschel yes, and Lindhorst absent.

C. Old Business (No old business this evening)

D. New Business

1. An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 18-18 And Authorizing A Line Item Fund Transfer And The Purchase Of A Truck For The Water Department, Ordinance 18-20

Trustee Scherschel moved, seconded by Trustee Mau to put Ordinance 18-20 on the table for action. Ordinance 18-20 passed with 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Mann yes, Gerger yes, Mau yes, Fountain yes, Scherschel yes, and Lindhorst absent.

2. Resolution for Maintenance Under the Illinois Highway Code

Trustee Scherschel moved, seconded by Trustee Gerger to put the resolution on the table for action. After discussion, Trustee Scherschel moved, seconded by Trustee Mann to move this agenda item to old business at the next regular board meeting.

3. An Ordinance Amending The Village Code Provisions On Emergency Management And Vehicle Liability (On Hold)

This item was not discussed. Village President Kimsey announced it will be moved to old business at the next regular board meeting for discussion/and or action.

4. Public Comments Village Business

There were no public comments on village business for this portion of the meeting.

Trustee Mau moved, seconded by Trustee Scherschel to adjourn the meeting. This was passed by voice vote.
