Report: Mt Pulaski spent $10,421 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Mt Pulaski Community Unit School District 23 is down 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Logan County school district spent $11,412 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,421 in 2016-17.

The district's enrollment remained unchanged over the same period, with 509 students.

Mt Pulaski's spending in 2016-17 was 20 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
