Report: Lincoln spent $11,537 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lincoln Community High School District 404 is down 7 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Logan County school district spent $12,353 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,537 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 842 to 844.

Lincoln's spending in 2016-17 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
