Illinois Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on June 21.
The Illinois Chamber of Commerce today announced Meghan Woltman,
vice president of government and community relations for Advocate Health Care, as its new
incoming chairperson and Brent Eichelberger, president of Commerce Bank in Illinois, as board chair
elect. The announcement was made at the Illinois Chamber’s executive committee meeting held at
10 a.m. at BP America, Inc. in Chicago.
“We’re elated for the insight and expertise that Meghan and Brent will bring to the table in
prominent leadership roles,” said Illinois Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Todd Maisch.
“It’s an honor to continue to work alongside some of Illinois’ brightest business leaders.”
Currently, Woltman leads Advocate's efforts in Springfield, Illinois and Washington, D.C. and works
with hospital-based teams to build local partnerships with elected officials and community
stakeholders to communicate the policy priorities of the system.
Woltman formerly served as vice-chairperson of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and has been a
director on the board since 2011. She also sits on the Chicago Women in Government Relations
board of directors.
“Both Meghan and Brent have been active members of our board and have proven to be effective
and invaluable to our organization,” said Maisch.
Eichelberger, president of Commerce Bank Illinois, has over 29 years of experience in the banking
industry and is involved in various leadership and banking roles. Eichelberger has been an active
board member of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and various other organizations.
This announcement comes as Chairman of the Board Tony Reinhart of Ford Motor Co. has
completed an accomplished and successful two-year term.
“We want to extend our sincerest appreciation to Tony for his inventive leadership over his term as
chairman. His dedication to the business community was vital to the Chamber’s successes the past
two years. We owe him tremendous gratitude for his service in leadership,” said Maisch.
