Petersburg Community Fire Protection District responded to 31 calls in 2017 - 24.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Petersburg Community included 20 fires - six structure fires, two vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $10,000 in fire loss - or about $500 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The Petersburg Community Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $143,584 in 2017.
