Williamsville VFD responds to 25 fires in 2017

Williamsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to 38 calls in 2017 - 442.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Williamsville included 25 fires - nine structure fires, four vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $300,600 in fire loss - or about $12,024 per fire.

The department also received 13 false calls.

The Williamsville Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $299,320 in 2017.
