City of Springfield issued the following announcement on July 23.
The Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to welcome the National Bikers Roundup to
Springfield August 1 thru 5. The Bikers Roundup is the largest camping motorcycle rally in the USA
organized by a group of African American motorcycle clubs and attracts 5,000 attendees. The Roundup
will take place at the Illinois State Fairgrounds however other activities will take place across the city. It
is a family-friendly event that encourages participants to explore the host city. We encourage area
businesses to be prepared to serve the extra foot-traffic. The Bureau will be providing additional
information to area sites, attractions and businesses in anticipation of this great event. More information
