Jazz

City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on July 23.

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is excited to announce that the 7th Annual St. Charles Jazz Weekend is hosting free, live jazz music on Sept. 6-9 throughout Downtown St. Charles. There are 27 different performances set between 16 different venues for brunch, dinner and late night entertainment.

This year’s venues include: ROX City Grill, Francesca’s on the River, Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, The Filling Station Pub & Grill, The House Pub, McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub, First Street Plaza, Vintage 53 Wine Bar, The Wine Exchange, The Finery & Blacksmith Bar, Eden on the River and The Office Dining & Spirits. The venues will host many performances from jazz soloists, quintets and more that cover a range of jazz styles complementary for their in-house guests. Three-time Grammy Award winning saxophonist Frank Catalano will headline at The Filling Station Pub & Grill on Thursday evening and play again at The House Pub on Friday and Saturday evening.

Jenna Sawicki, Executive Director of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, said she is excited for this year’s lineup.

“We are pleased to feature John Wojciechowski, Dana Hall and Frank Catalano,” Sawicki said. “Our new venues this year, such as Eden on the River, The Wine Exchange and Francesca’s on the River, are terrific, as well as the businesses that we have partnered with in the past like ROX City Grill, McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub, The Office and The House Pub.”

The Kane County Chronicle and Shaw Media have again partnered with the Downtown St. Charles Partnership for a weekend dedicated for jazz enthusiasts. This year, Sterling Bank is the Presenting Sponsor for St. Charles Jazz Weekend with Fox Valley Auto Group and The Arcada Theater as Gold Sponsors.
