Report: Which Metro Springfield communities saw the most vehicle fires in 2017?

Fire 10

Latham Fire Protection District, Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District and Riverton Area Fire Protection District reported responding to the most vehicle fire incidents per capita in Metro Springfield in 2017, according to the latest state report.

The annual summary of state fire incidents, published by the Illinois State Fire Marshal, records the number and type of fire-related incidents each fire protection district responded to in the calendar year. Fires are categorized as structure fires, vehicle fires or other fires.
