City of Springfield issued the following announcement on Aug. 24.
Nelson Tree Service, CWLP’s contractor, is currently trimming trees for the line clearance program in two
areas:
• Old Jacksonville Road to Greenbriar Drive (between Meadowbrook Road and Veterans Parkway)
• Enos Avenue to Ridge Avenue (between Albany Street and Dirksen Parkway)
An additional crew will be assigned to trim trouble spots around the city as well. The line clearance
program is designed to ensure the safety, continuity and reliability of electric service. Visit
