School discipline: Which Metro Springfield districts reported the most violence-related suspensions?

New Holland-Middletown Elementary School District 88, Hartsburg Emden Community Unit School District 21 and Champaign Community Unit School District 4 reported the highest rate of students suspended for reasons related to violence during the 2016-17 school year in Metro Springfield, according to the latest report from the Illinois State Board of Education.

In this analysis, the incident rate is calculated by dividing the number of incidents by district enrollment.
