City of Peru Public Services Committee met July 2.

Committee Members Present: Alderman Waldorf, Alderman Sapienza and Alderman Sapienza and Mayor Harl present; Aldermen Lukosus and Ballard absent.
Other Persons Present: City Clerk Dave Bartley, PSM Jeff King, ASM Doug Bernabei, City Engineer Eric Carls, Electric Department Foreman Kye Kaszynski, Mike Perry of Chamlin & Associates and Chris Perra of T.E.S.T.
Minutes
Chairman Waldorf made a motion to approve Public Services Committee Meeting 6/18/18 Minutes. Alderman Sapienza seconded; motion carried.

Electric
Electric Department Foreman Kye Kaszynski spoke in favor of upgrading to the 138kv interconnect and noted it is a long-term project. Mayor Harl stated he is communicating with IMEA to ask Ameren for a breakdown of upgrades.
Presentation
Mr. Willis Dane and Adam Pacholski of Aqua Control addressed the Committee to discuss the fountains at Baker Lake and will coordinate with PSM Jeff King.

Airport
City Engineer Eric Carls stated the request for statements of interest process has been complete and only one company submitted. Alderman Waldorf asked there be a motion to approve the selection of Chamlin & Associates Inc. for consultant services for the Illinois Valley Regional Airport and a motion to approve agreement of engineering services with Chamlin & Associates, Inc. for the Illinois Valley Regional Airport on the next Regular Meeting agenda.
