Logan County passed three referendums on Nov. 6.
Voters in Logan County were in favor of the Logan Firearm Sanctuary Advisory Proposition: “Shall Logan County become a sanctuary for all unconstitutionally prohibited by the government of the State of Illinois, for everyone except undocumented immigrants, in that Logan County will prohibit its employees from enforcing the unconstitutional actions of the state government?”
With 100 percent of the votes counted, referendum had 5,896 votes in favor and 3,397 opposed.
Voters in Logan County also voted for the Mt. Pulaski CUSD 23 Proposition, which called for the issuance of $10, million in school building bonds.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, the referendum had 953 votes in favor and 814 opposed.
Voters also approved the Chester East Lincoln CCSD 61 Proposition, which asked if members of the Board of Education should be elected at-large without restriction within the school district.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, referendum had 683 votes in favor and 450 opposed.
