Athens Community Unit School District 213 issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.
Wednesday, December 12: The Jr/Sr High Christmas Concert at Cantrall Intermediate School beginning at 6:30 pm. All bands, choirs, jazz bands and show choir will perform. The Athens Fine Arts Boosters will hold a cookie walk at 6:00 pm. You can buy cookies and other holiday goodies for $5 per pound. Proceeds benefit the Fine Arts programs of the Athens School district.
Friday, December 14: Jr/Sr High Bands and Choruses will perform at White Oaks Mall in Springfield at 10:45 am
