City of Atlanta issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
The program starting at 4:00 p.m. will take place in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation and Aquatic Center
The City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation, the Atlanta Hawks Foundation, and the community will cut the ribbon on the renovated outdoor basketball courts at Selena S. Butler Park, adjacent to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation and Aquatic Center. This will be the sixth City of Atlanta basketball renovation in partnership with the Atlanta Hawks Foundation. Previously, basketball courts at Central Park, Coan Park, Grant Park, William Walker RecreationCenter, and Bessie Branham Park have been renovated.
The free community celebration is open to the public. At the event, both State Farm and Goodr are teaming up to provide a free pop-up grocery “store” for more than 100 seniors in attendance as part of the State Farm Neighborhood of Good activation.
