Report: Farmington Central spent $9,750 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Farmington Central Community Unit School District 265 is up 17.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $8,287 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,750 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1449 to 1380.

Farmington Central's spending in 2017-18 was 26.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
