Report: Creston spent $13,773 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Creston Community Consolidated School District 161 is up 32.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $10,377 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,773 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 113 to 88.

Creston's spending in 2017-18 was 3.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
