Report: Mundelein spent $12,423 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Mundelein Elementary School District 75 is up 27.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $9,720 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,423 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1691 to 1701.

Mundelein's spending in 2017-18 was 6.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
