Report: Ewing Northern spent $9,893 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Ewing Northern Community Consolidated School District 115 is up 4.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Franklin County school district spent $9,489 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,893 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 223 to 218.

Ewing Northern's spending in 2017-18 was 25.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
