Report: Grayville spent $9,333 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Grayville Community Unit School District 1 is up 4.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the White County school district spent $8,936 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,333 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 339 to 305.

Grayville's spending in 2017-18 was 30 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
