Analysis: Williamsville administrators rank 322nd in state for average pay

Administrators in Williamsville Community Unit School District 15 earn an average of $104,261 per year, ranking 322nd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 22.8% higher than in 2014 and 15.5% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 2.8% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Sangamon County school district enrolled 1543 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 276 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
