Athens Community Unit School District 213 issued the following announcement on March 14.
The Athens High School Leadership Committee is having its Spring Food Drive for the Athens Food Pantry the week of March 18-23. Items needed are: personal care and bathroom products, cleaning supplies, vegetables, entrees, canned fruit, cake mixes, and instant potatoes.
Students will take items to their 1st hour class. The class with the most items will receive Krispy Kreme donuts.
Community donations can be dropped off at the high school office or at the high school on Saturday, March 23rd from 8:00 am-12:00 pm.
