4th Street/ Cook Street home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in 4th Street/ Cook Street, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $16,650 while total sales remained unchanged with eight homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $32,500 - a 33.9% decrease over the $49,150 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in 4th Street/ Cook Street in the first quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in 4th Street/ Cook Street for 2017 was $1,515.32. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,511.80. This marks an increase of 0.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.7%.
