College Street/ Lawrence Avenue home prices fall in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in College Street/ Lawrence Avenue, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $1,340 while total sales decreased by 13.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 26 homes sold, with a median sale price of $47,160 - a 2.8% decrease over the $48,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 30 homes sold in College Street/ Lawrence Avenue in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in College Street/ Lawrence Avenue for 2017 was $1,532. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,508. This marks an increase of 1.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.2%.
