Illinois State Museum issued the following announcement on April 7.
It's National Beer Day! erated in SThese pre-Prohibition Reisch beer bottles were excavated from the New Philadelphia site in Pike County, IL. Reisch oppringfield from 1849 to 1966. In March 2019, Reisch Gold Top Beer became available to the public for the first time in 53 years. It was brewed using the original recipe, and proceeds will support historic preservation in central Illinois. Cheers! #nationalbeerday #archaeology #drinklocal
