Atlanta home prices rise in June 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Atlanta rose by $50,400 while total sales decreased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $136,900 - a 58.3% increase over the $86,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Atlanta in June 2016.

The median sales tax in Atlanta for 2017 was $1,805. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,819. This marks an decrease of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
