Rochester home prices fall in November 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in November 2017 in Rochester fell by $62,000 while total sales decreased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In November 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $156,000 - a 28.4% decrease over the $218,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Rochester in November 2016.

The median sales tax in Rochester for 2017 was $3,247. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,394. This marks an decrease of 4.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
